As the host notes, the treehouse is like an art project, built using reclaimed architectural salvaged elements to provide a historic feel, complete with multi-colored walls of the heart of pine beaded board, some of which was reclaimed from Civil War-era homes. There are vintage Victorian French doors, antiques, cedar trim, and 1905 heart of pine church flooring.

But with the pair of skylights showcasing views of the bamboo canopy above while bringing in dappled light through the vaulted ceiling, you’ll be reminded that it’s the 21st-century and not the late 1800s.

There’s a great deck where you can walk around to check out the bamboo forest and the animals, while the marble bathroom down the rustic path that winds through the bamboo has a magnificent walk-in shower, a standard toilet, and vintage restored sink.
