The 2023 baseball season is just around the corner and while the Colorado Rockies will be in San Diego facing the Padres on opening day, March 30, the team’s home opener will be on April 6 against the Washington Nationals. Whether you plan to catch that game, or another this season, Denver has a wealth of hotels to choose from, many of which will put you within easy reach and some are only steps away.
Of course, with a stay downtown, you’ll also have easy access to many of the city’s top attractions, including everything from a wealth of shopping and dining options to the Downtown Aquarium and multiple museums.
Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver
The Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver is centrally located, just over a 10-minute walk from Coors Field and within easy reach of many other city attractions like the 16th Street Mall. The Ritz-Carlton Denver is one of the top hotels in Denver located right downtown, just a 10-minute walk from Coors Field and close to many other attractions. It’s renowned for its luxury, providing the perfect base for those who want to enjoy a little pampering and catch the game. Those coming from out of state will definitely know they’re in Colorado here, with many elements from the Rocky Mountain state infused into this property, from the entrance with its running water to the on-site restaurant, ELWAY’S Downtown, owned by former Denver Bronco’s quarterback, John Elway. The spa offers Colorado-inspired facials and if you book a west-facing room, you’ll enjoy a sweeping view of the Rockies.
The Westin Denver Downtown
Located in the LoDo district, just over 10 minutes on foot to Coors Field and just steps from 16th Street Mall, the Westin Denver Downtown offers a convenient location and a fully equipped fitness center with an indoor/outdoor pool with spectacular mountain and city views. It offers a complimentary wine hour with chair massages and loaner bikes, with a restaurant, spa, and a 24-hour fitness center on-site. The Curtis - a Double Tree Hotel By Hilton
The Curtis has a great vibe, celebrating pop culture with charm and humor that makes it fun just to walk through the door. Less than 10 blocks from Coors Field, Courtyard by Marriott Denver Downtown sits within a historic Denver building once home to the Joslins Dry Goods Department Store, where J.C. Penney began his career as a stock clerk, providing a different ambiance than the typical Courtyard hotel. The free MallRide that can bring you to the Blake Street stop just four blocks from the ballpark is right out the door. The Rally Hotel at McGregor Square
The Rally Hotel at McGregor Square is a new hotel that’s right next to Coors Field in the LoDo neighborhood. It’s offering a special baseball experience that includes two tickets to the Rockies’ home game on the day of arrival plus a $50 credit to The Original, The Rally Bar or Grandstand Café. It boasts multiple bars and restaurants and a rooftop pool deck. Rooms feature stadium or city views, flat-screen TVs, minibars, and Keurig coffeemakers. Some have balconies too.
